Ironwood tree in autumn

Ironwood tree in autumn
29/10/09
Autumn can be a productive time of the year for photographers. There are often panoramic views of multi-coloured areas of woodland; but sometimes there are individual trees that look particularly striking.I found this Ironwood tree near the gardens of a country estate. The tree is at its best as the leaves change colour and drop. I like the pattern of leaves under the tree and matching its circumference, almost like a shadow. It was a dull morning and the light was poor, but I think this shot has come out OK.
