Sunrise at Talland Bay

We have had cold, clear and calm mornings for the last few days. Taking advantage of the low tide I took several shots on Talland Beach, both before and after the sun appeared.

This is the most dramatic of them. I wanted to 'stop' the waves as they broke on to the beach, and fortunately in this shot the sun is reflected at the top of one of them, towards the right side of the frame.

I set the tripod as low as I could in order to catch the best of the reflections on the wet sand. I had to use a fairly long focal length to keep the picture tight to the interesting parts of the scene.
