St Winnow reflections
Much of the time the river bed at St Winnow consists of dull mud banks, but when the tide is up and in good light there are some interesting photo possibilities. This was soon after 8 am in mid-March, when the sun was still low enough to cast long shadows straight up the valley.
Daphne du Maurier's sister Angela is buried here. Her gravestone is in the nearest row, towards the left of the picture.
